Hey, I have a suggestion for Dakka Dakka.

I think it'd be good if Dakka Dakka labelled every post in a thread with a number.

For example, check out the Straight Dope board
http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=824162

you can see that each post is numbered on the top right. #1,#2,#3.. and so on so forth.

This would make it easier for one to specify posts when replying.

Example, "In my reply to him in #9..." etc.

It seems like the quote functionality is substantially better than what you suggest.

Yeah plus we also have multi quite. (not sure quite how that magic works)
Quotes seem to work well with spoiler options too.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I want this in addition to quotes. I'm not suggesting that we remove the quote functionality. Just in case there's been any misunderstanding.

An additional feature wouldn't hurt right?

If you hit quote, it opens a new reply with the text quoted.

If you hit multiquote, it queues up quotes in the background. When you hit reply, it will put all the quotes you selected in the box. So, when you're reading a long thread and know you want to reply to several posts, you can hit multiquote and keep reading as often as you need to before finally replying to them all at once.

Agh.. That's the witchcraft behind it. The things you learn.
I pressed quote after multi quote and must of undone it all each time.

Also, if you click "so and so wrote:", it takes you to the quoted post, so you can see the context if necessary.
