Just wanted to show off the two foam rhinos i made using only a foam cutter and a sharp utility knife. Hopefully this is the right forum for this. If this gets a lot of attention and enough people ask for it i may do a step by step on how i made them.

Pretty impressive for scratch builds. They're not quite flush in every aspect, but they're still damn good. Have you considered trying to make one out of plastic card? You might be able to get more precise results.

Those look pretty damn good. Although they're identifiable as not original (or plastic) rhinos, they're pretty damn close. Very impressive for foam. I agree with Luciferian, maybe try making some out of plasticard, you might get even better results.

Thanks guys. I agree i could probably get a good result using plasticard. The foam was readily available and they are for friendly games between me and a friend.(im hoping he gets some actual rhinos soon) I had not intended on putting as much detail as i did but once i got to that stage i thought i would give it a try. The next time im in a hobby shop that sells plasticard i will probably pick up some for terrain building so maybe i will give another try at building a rhino with that.

Cool as hell! Nice work OP - you might want to check out @Wyloch's channel on DIY miniatures, some good ideas there:

there decent for scratch builds but there's a lot that could be improved with them, multi layering plsticard instead of a box shell solid 7/10

No need to go to a hobby shop for plasticard. Just go to your local big box store and look for the plastic yard sale/beware of dog/no hunting signs. It's the same stuff and much cheaper.

Help me, Rhonda. HA!

I use old credit cards and loyalty cards for smaller peices of plasticard.

You'll want to sand/rough up the texture a lot before gluing.
