Guardsman with Flashlight

Hello all. Haven't posted on the ol' forums for a good while.

Recently I've become enthralled by the inq28 scene (small warbands of characters that encourage bespoke conversions? sign me the hell up) so I thought I'd share my creations. Don't know how many games I'll end up playing as I've never been in love with that side of the hobby, but the modelling and background involved in inq28 are right up my alley.

Here are the first few characters I've made, I'm still fleshing out backgrounds for them. Might make more than one warband.

From left to right:

Ursaf Hayde - Emperor-bothering zealot, firm believer in the redemptionist tenet of "kill it with fire"
Vashîn Lesk - interrogator for a Xanthite Inquisitor I will eventually make
Kane Drostig - bounty hunter

Feedback appreciated

Interrogator Vashîn Lesk

Trusted acolyte of Inquisitor Theudis Gauld. Lesk's origins are known only to himself and his master, having once been the brutal yet erudite leader of a notorious underhive gang whose activities included the acquisition and trade of artefacts of chaotic and xenos origin. Captured and tried, he was spared from execution by the intervention of Gauld, whose investigations brought him into contact with Lesk's gang. In return, he has become one of Gauld's most capable acolytes, both his ruthlessness and affinity for heretical learning proving very useful to the Inquisitor.

Good stuff, I always like when people go the extra mile to add some fluff to their characters. I dabbled in 28mm =][= a few years back, it's a great way to capitalize on spare bits that might not have a home elsewhere.
Keep at it!

Very nice I really like the backstory you've given Lesk, and the inquisitor is looking great

Very cool and simple conversions, I'm getting a very star wars imperial officer vibe from Lesk.
And I can't help but see Drostig as Mark Hamill.

It's great to see more people putting a bit of story into their models, I've noticed that those who do tend to put out more interesting models over all.

The interrogator painted up nicely. Love the gauntlets. Continuing with the Stars Wars vibe, he would make a great Jagged Fel.

Thanks folks, glad you like them.
It's funny though, when I choose bits, colour schemes etc I mostly go with what I think looks cool at the time, the Star Wars feel was completely unintentional. But I love Star Wars so I'm not complaining

Inquisitor Samine Kordell

Practitioner of a somewhat restrained form of the Monodominant philosophy, Inquisitor Kordell cares little for the bombastic rhetoric and showy displays of violence that are synonymous with this uncompromising creed. While she does wholeheartedly believe that all who betray the imperium are worthy of nothing less than extermination, Kordell also believes that the heavy-handed methods of terror employed by most Monodominants are unimaginative and ultimately ineffective. In her shrewd opinion, an Inquisitor's duty is not to beat the Emperor's foes into submission, but to root out heresy and mercilessly crush it from within.

That is an exceptional SoS conversion and paintjob, well done
Its very Darth Vader, if we are making star wars comparisons.
I must ask, because I've seen them everywhere now, but where are the computer-vambraces from?

Cheers all, really appreciate all the kind words

Inquisitor Theudis Gauld

Inquisitor Theudis Gauld is a man single-minded in his quest to understand the ruinous powers and the corrupting influence of the warp. His dedication to ensuring humanity's survival in a hostile universe has lead him to the Xanthite way of thinking - that the power of the warp is not something to be feared, but used to mankind's advantage. Through compulsive gathering and study of infernal texts, Gauld has developed an interest in the loathsome practice of daemonic possession. He appears to believe that he is of sufficient knowledge and mental fortitude to summon and harness the power of a daemon, and rumours have begun to circulate that he has put this theory into practice.

Excellent stuff very Imperial.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Excellent work on Inquisitor Guard. Does his fluff hint that you'll be working on a deamon host of some kind?
