Good job, bud.

OSL is very tough to pull off. The lighting of the camera here makes it a bit tricky to see where your actual OSL highlights are, but I think either way you should make them more extreme. That being said, my painting style uses a lot of very strong contrast so it's more my personal taste.

I also suggest deepening the color of your bronze areas, which could be done real easily with some agarax earthshade.

Thanks, yeah the camera angle and the fact that I haven't made my light box don't help but they are easier to see in person.

that was actually supposed to be gold and I personally wanted it to be a brighter gold so I think Agrax Earthshade or more Reikland Fleshshade (what I used for the gold) might make it a bit too dark.

Absolutely, I can understand the concern with agarax making it too dark. I think you'd be surprised though how darker shadows in recesses of metal can actually make it look brighter. The trick to this is let the agarax dry, then re-paint the bright gold on the raised areas. The dark-bright contrast usually ends up making metals look shinier. It's worth trying eventually!
