Hi there!

Now that most of the Kill teams are freely available, I decided to make a Kill Team builder in the spirit of Warscroll builder.

The core of the application is up and running and is suitable for creating initial lists. I'd like to add features for campaigns, too.

It's pretty cool. I find it much easier to use than battlescribe, as everything is on the same page, and the view roster page seems easy to print.

I looked at the harlequins, and didn't find any mistake yet. Good work!

I love it. The naming feature is pretty cool too. The Roster View should list the total points I think though.

It is pretty good as is, but it can be even better if some of the functions of the scrollbuilder.com tool was copied, like the easy exports, rearranging the team members and such.

Which exports are most useful, simple text, pdf?

Drag'n'drop fighters is going in, and I'll add the missing total points cost.

There's a few edge cases I also need to figure out properly, like weapon reloads, inquisitorial acolyte stat upgrades

Being able to download the team as a PDF is useful, as is the ability to quickly share a list by copy-pasting it in short-form - Like the 'List Summary' function of Scrollbuilder.com

Some ideas (none of which are all that urgent, because the builder is awesome as-is):

-- in roster view it would be nice to generate a row of blank boxes beneath each model's statline, for the purpose of recording level-ups during a campaign (because a printed roster won't be updateable via pencil & eraser). The current roster view already has adequate space to record stat changes, but I like the neatness of empty boxes

-- might be worth having a "duplicate" button since a lot of trooper builds will be cookie-cutter. Maybe you're already planning to include this with the drag and drop function

-- it could be nice if the builder sorted items for you in a consistent order (ie. Heavy, Special, Basic, Pistol, Grenade, non-weapon, etc.). Although this is a highly-subjective suggestion, and since the current version already allows free manual ordering it might not be worth changing

I'm unsure about ordering myself, but I do think the idea of "attaching" a misc upgrade to a weapon is going to need to be modeled, as weapon reloads don't work quite right atm, and that would clear them up nicely.

Looking forward to seeing how it continues to improve.

By the way, word is that the guy that made scrollbuilder.com for AoS got contacted by GW and they ended up buying it to make it an official GW tool some time in the future. I have no idea if it's true or not, but just thought I'd mention it, as this tool is on its way to becoming just as useful for Shadow War: Armageddon.

There is a fault in the dark eldar team, you can only add 1 bloodbride, while a team can include 2 according to the rules

I'm now using this as my permanent list-builder for SWA. Really easy to use and manage a team with it.

Already loving Skitarii and can't wait for Astartes.

This is really neat, and it's free--so I shouldn't complain.


But...

It gives an error message for Ork teams above 10 models, and I can't find a way to select extra ammo for my slugga, rather than my Power Klaw (it keeps defaulting to a 43 point reload).

It would also be awesome to be able to track attribute advances, skills, and Hatred/Frenzy.

Just a couple of small ideas for improvements.

It seems that you can add the same item twice, like adding carapace armour even though you have it already. Maybe an asterix could be put next to the items you have in the list already to make the user aware that you're adding something the character already has, and still opening it up for adding two of the same items.

When I use the builder, I find I too often have to scroll up and down to check on the points status and such while adding things to characters down the list.
Adding a frozen topbar like scrollbuilder, so you can always see your points cost and such would be a nice improvement to it.

Love this roster builder - and its not blocked by my companies firewalls!!

Im not sure the points are right for the power maul for the Inquisition Crusader. On the pdf its only 50 points, yet it comes up as 85 in the builder.

Battle scribe felt a bit too funky for a small game like this!

There seems to be some odd issue with Ork Yoofs. If you add equipment to one, they all duplicate it. If you add Yoofs after having added equipment to some, and then remove the equipment for the newly added, the points values seems to not update on the ones first added.

I don't know if this explains it well, but I ended up with some Yoofs costing 70 others 30, with the same equipment, as it keeps duplicating across all Yoofs.

2 bloodbrides per player, correct power maul points
Cheaper lasgun for GSC and devourer for tyranids, as per FAQ errata
Duplication bugs fixed
Still not blocked by the Imperial Firewallicus (?)
Orks can now have up to 15 models (right?)

Still TODO:

Improve weapon reloads - you're right Da Butcha, it currently guesses (poorly) at which weapon you meant to add the reload to. I think the answer is to have UI elements for picking which other item you're attaching WR to. This may also be useful for gunsights.

Oh, for some reason I thought orks could have 20 models in a kill team. Pretty sure, could be wrong.

15? 20? Who knows for sure?

Also note: while the bug with duplication is fixed for any future usage, the points costs in saved lists that used the duplicate button might still be wrong, so you may need to remove/re-add the fighters with the wrong costs for now (rest of the fix will come soon!)

An Ork team has a max of 20 according to the box games rulebook.

A suggestion for an improvement would be to do a better formatting of the kill team list when copied to clipboard from the simple view.

I prefer the list-formatting from Scrollbuilder over the long string that Killteams.com produces now.

My first PDF download, was cutoff, only showing part of the list and no second page. Looking good so far though.

It's really good. All it needs is weapon profiles.
