GK are better suited as an ally at the moment.
You should just wait for 8th rules because things could change substantially.

Talking from experience, you would be better serving chance if you removed the melta bombs from all but the troops you were definitely thinking of rushing a vehicle with. Especially if they already have a anything that increases their base strength. Because with hammer hand going off they are going to hit at Str10 with hammers, and two hits on the charge with that far outstrips the melta with one swing.

I used to run my purifiers in a 10x man squad, with four psycannons. Then combat squad the cannons into one group, and make an add hawk devastator squad.

Draigo is kind of a waste in larger games, and usually he becomes focused down that it can either make you're game.. or break you're game. So its a 50/50 chance that he gets his job done. Though it is a tempting thought to include him in most large battles, he just cost as much as the Land Raider, and you can probably make use of the points elsewhere in you're army.

Take both the NDKs with greatswords. The master crafted special rule is always more beneficial then most players give it credit for, and when a MC is swinging the weapon, the hammers concussive rule is pretty much wasted.

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?

Its unfortunate because a comp list for Gk is just purifiers running up in rhinos and using their cleansing flame, and dreadknights.

I stopped playing my GK this edition just because of that fact.

Sadly, the Purifiers aren't too competitive. You really just spam Terminators, ML3 Librarians, Draigo and Dreadknights.

Yeah I have to admit to doing just that.
Running three ten man squads of Terminators, with a librarian each.
Then having a squad of five Paladins with a lvl3 Librarian, with three dreadknights for support across the whole board. Though at that point neither of the knights were using their swords or hammers. Just going fisticuffs for the whole match.

I have run a funny little army for a while now, consisting of several squads of strike team members, two interceptor squads, and running three of the assassins. All of them but the vindicar, because one shot per turns can only be so good in a long game.

One has to wonder. Do the Tyranids consider drop-assault troops... fast food?
