I've played the game as well, and wounding is done via hits and saves - each unit has a hit and save rating they need to roll or exceed on a
D10 for melee or shooting. Fatigue is just an added condition, but it's an interesting method for routing units. In the
game I played, a unit of 5 could be routed if you managed to kill three models in shooting or combat, and then leave the unit with four fatigue.
Any wow, are those command points powerful. I had the same situation in a Brethren vs. Spanish game - the Spanish have inferior troops, but that means they can afford an experienced commander more easily. And since melee is one sided, a commander with enough command points can send a unit into melee again and again without giving their opponent a chance to retaliate.
