Hey guys,

I've recently went back at a project that has been standing around on my desk forever now. Mainly because I needed a small distraction from studying for university.
Just as described in the topic I'm working on a true scale Typhus conversion and seeing how I made quite a bit of progress lately I thought I'd put some pictures up here to get a bit of feedback on him.

So here he is:
Spoiler:

This is how I found him laying around, basically just the legs done (not to happy about them but to lazy to change them) and a bit of bulking out

And this is him after giving him more fitting Nurgle Proportions (read bulking out the belly) as well as a few scale shots next to a normal Termie and some Marines I had laying around.
Bear in mind that his right foot is standing on two layers of cork, that's why he looks even bigger.

And last but not least we have the him at the current stage, having done a thin layer of left side nurglyfication to "polish" him up.

The next steps are to give his right side the same treatment as the left, finish the exhausts?! on top of his armor, probably a few small bits on his arms and maybe some work on his head. Oh and he's probably getting some kind of cape, I know the original model doesn't have one but just like the power fist I'll go with the rule of cool here. For me you can't be a real traveller if you don't have a good cloak.

So, let me know what you guys think!
p.s.: I'll take proper pictures once I get his right side up and running, these were just taken on my phone. So apologies for that.

Interesting (particularly because there may be a brand new Typhus model shortly if he arrives with the big planned Nurgle releases).

I think the sculpting quality is looking pretty good - don't much like the actual sculpt itself though. Too Nurgled and the corral-reef kind of things on the backpack really look "meh". But, as long as he's what your vision is - go nuts.

I finally got around to do some more work on typhus. It's exam time for me right now so I have to find room to squeeze some time in between studying. I am however making quite a lot of progress (for my standards) on him lately.
I finished his right side and the coral exhaust on his left side. I also replaced his scythe with a different blade and put in some wires for his left shoulder pad (still no clue what to do with his right one). The last thing I did was to start work on his cape (no pictures yet, sorry) so that I can put it on him as soon as the shoulders are done.

As always, let me know what you think!

First of all thank you guys for your kind words! It really helps in motivating me to do some more work.

I've finished the exhaust on top as well as his right shoulder pad, I went with the death guard symbol and some spikes growing out of his armor to bulk up the shoulder pad. I've also put in the foundations for his left pad, I might finish it later tonight (though I probably should focus on studying).
Oh well, it's all for the glory of chaos.

Enjoy and as always, let me know what you think

Well, I'll say this much, he's absolutely revolting to look at - which, to be honest, is pretty much exactly what you'd want in a champion of Nurgle. This is really quality stuff, well done!

Why Aye Ya Canny Dakkanaughts!

I wasn't entirely too convinced with the first set of pictures you posted but your model work is absolutely brilliant and has really transformed him, nice work!

Alright peeps! I did most of the cape and all that's left now are minor touch ups as well as the far right side of it. I couldn't take better pictures because it's the middle of the night and I don't have a desk lamp
Oh and I did the other shoulder pad.

Time to get some sleep!

Believe me, neither can I. But then again I know that I'm about the slowest painter there is and on top of that enjoy converting/ sculpting much more than painting. So there definetely won't be paint until all my exams are done and that's almost a month (including one weekk vacation).
It's more likely that I'll start another miniature to join my growing stack of unpainted conversions.

I'm toying with the thought of doing a night lord, unfortunately I don't own any jump packs so I either have to build it from scratch or build one that isn't the iconic raptor.
