Hey dakka, I recently received a blood thirster in the mail (this amazing model: https://www.creaturecaster.com/products/warriordemon) and I was wondering what the best variant to use him as is.

I won't be playing pure korne, but will be bringing a herald on jugger, some other juggers, a skull cannon and some bloodletters allied with my Skrye skaven. I am fighting sylvaneth if it matters too much.

I have a metric crap ton of skaven, basically everything so that area is flexible.

I'd go with the Wrath of Khorne 'thirster since the other two really need to be getting in the enemies' face while the WoK can afford to hang back a little initially. Since your army is not full-on melee (I'm assuming WFT stormfiends) this will allow the 'thirster to reinforce/take advantage of areas where one side is doing poorly.

In a blades of khorne army with balls to the wall assault, which variant would you recommend?

I would favor an Insensate Rage due to the command ability, but none of the options are bad. If your general isn't going to be a 'thirster then go with Skarbrand.

If building Skarbrand from a regular Thirster kit, I recommend vargheist wings (or whatever those bony guys are called). They look sufficiently shriveled and desiccated and much less cumbersome. Then the big wings can be used for an Archaon or other conversion of hugeness. Skarbrand rules!
