Hello : ),

I have the determination to make an Iron Wolves fluffy army, besides I want to go competitive some day (but with that army jajaj).

The problem is that I dont find a good source to know more about the Iron Wolves, I have the Painting Guide of the Space Wolves but there it doesn't conclude if it is or not according to history put for example Bikers in the army, or Dreadnoughts.

I understood that there are primarly 3 kind of packs in the Iron Wolves, the Ironguard (Wolf Guards), the Frostclaws (Longfangs) and the Blackwolves (Grey Hunters), now another question I have is if I could had Wolf Guards Terminators too as a Ironguards, or that would be incorrect according the history of the IWs?

Others soldiers as Skyclaws, Wulfen or Thunder Wolf Cavarly is obious that wont match on an Iron Wolves historically army, at least is what I thought, as the Great Company of Egil Iron Wolf is focus on heavy armoured vehicles and heavy infantry, or is not?

I would be really grateful if somebody could guide me and help me on this matter, as I am not an expert nor veteran on Wh 40k.

Kisses. ^^

Your fluff. Do what you want. They could a "successor" chapter using UM geneseed from a similar world, that was initially trained by the wolves in tactics and culture. They could even have been Fenrisian forbears taken from Fenris and settled on an arborial world of similar nature.

Just keep away from the urge to have them with some super secret or other nonsense.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
-"Don't mind Frazzled. He's just Dakka's crazy old dude locked in the attic. He's harmless. Mostly."

All Great Companies can deploy all units from the codex. They might prefer tanks, but that doesn't exclude everything else.

But with a new edition coming out next month that invalidates the current codex and the strong implication that all Iron Wolves turned to Wulfen and died on Cadia when it blew up, I would not really think too much about force composition.

Just build the models you like the most. Rules come and go, my Grey Hunters are with me since 23 years

Fluffy is a bit hard when very little has been said on the Ironwolves company.
"They go to battle with more tanks than any other Great Company" is pretty much all we have to go on.
The supplement provides clues - Everything has to be able to use a transport and there must be enough transport capacity to accommidate all models.
They don't have Sky Claws, Swift Claws or Thunderwolf cavalry.
They had a lot of Landspeeders but not as many as the Firehowlers (extinct).

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.
