The dude who leaked this said he used to work as the miniature builder at GW.

He also stated that this Death Guard is the size of a custodes.

Looks like super sizing is coming in the near future.

What do you guys think of this beautiful (if not maybe a little big) miniature!

I would personally use these as Chosen, if they are not already their own thing (as in not a Plague Marine)

Biggest problem is the size. I'm personally tired of all these "big, big, bigger, yet more bigger" trend GW has been having lately.

Sculpt wise looks good but I have suspicion price is going to be more than I consider worth it for piece of plastic. If wrong maybe get unit or two.

This Death Guard marine is wonderful, I can't wait to see more of the new Chaos Marine !

GW timeframes are quite wonky. We have instantly like tens of thousands of new marines AND some who got turned into plague marines in very short timeframe.

Definitely a bit "meh" both on scale and styling. Way too busy, and a bit dynamic for what I'd consider a plague marine. I think the new kits will be cool for parts and far better than the junk available now, but it doesn't blow me away.

My guess is that these are standard CSMs who have been multiply blessed by Papa Nurgle and have swollen from the infection. I doubt these are corrupted Primaris Marines.

Most likely GW want to give Chaos a new unit that can take on Primaris Marines 1-to-1. I am sure existing Chaos players will be able to add a squad or two to their existing armies (handy huh? ) or use them as Chosen like Rippy suggests.

That was what I would have expected and still hope that the source didn't say what I thought he said. He responded to question about are they from new marines but didn't really say from WHAT they were changed.

Hopefully so. Makes much more sense than these brand news who already got produced in ridiculously fast rate that would immediately also get converted to chaos.

Works much better if chaos gods have been doing work of their own without any connection to the numarines.

I can't tell if you really don't realise I was taking the piss out of the thread of the first pictures of the numarines or not.

love the miniature, but really don't like the safety kneepads that's everywhere now.

Also yeah the scale bothers me a little bit. Looks like if I wanna field DG, I'm either going to buy new (which, like the nu marines, isn't happening anytime soon) or using my existing ones.

It's obviously one of the old iron warrior conversion helmets

I'm fine with them releasing new space marine miniatures but the way these are being added doesn't fit the narrative at all & is just getting silly.

So let me see if I understand this correctly. Either Cawl has been sitting on the blueprints/plans for ultra-ultra marines for 10,000 years, or he has been working on it all this time waiting for a primarch to return.

If its the former, who made the initial blueprints? The emperor? If so, why were they never used?

If its the latter, that means that Cawl somehow created technology that wasn't even possible during the dark age of technology or the emperor's own work? Impossible.

Now we learn that at the exact same time this breakthrough happens & super duper marines are added, chaos magically has access to them as well?

I'm really hoping that GW slows down and explains the origins of these new marines & how chaos is suddenly granted access to them in mass.

Supersized models ... Not so much but these guys will also be two wounds i bet...

If everything in the box set is going to get the supersize treatment, I think it is a pretty clear indication of their intent for all future power armor...

Welp, there goes another army onto the Display Case of No Return.

I like the model, don't like the scale change. Will have to use them as Chosen if they look too big against my regular Deathguard/Plague marines/Nurgle marked Chaos marines

Primaris marines that already turned traitor and joined one of the legions of old with heavily mutated and modified armour and ditching their bolt rifle. Right... If that's really where the fluff is going I'll be picking up models for truescale (C)SM and they can stick their fluff where the sun don't shine.

That doesn't make any sense. There really SHOULD be a comma, and I believe that's what he meant. If no chaos gods changed them, how did he get the horns? Just shove them in as hard as he could?
It seems much more likely that they are something chaos has done just to give CSM a reply to numarines. "No, Chaos Gods changed them" being the correct sentence. This was a chat on Facebook. Hardly a place to dissect the grammar.

So this death guard are basically like the Rubric Marines, just a re-scale of the same old DeathGuard? I'm totally fine with that.
When the guy is answering the fluff question to me he is talking about Primaris Marines, not Deathguard, and when you ask him about the fluff of deathguard the "No, Chaos Gods change them", to me seems like they are just the same old Death Guard, not Primaris Marines corrupted.

Not sure I actually like the model... Maybe he just needs painting but I'm not really that excited about getting him. :/

As far as fluff goes, looks like he did say the Chaos Gods are MAKING marines! So much for the emperor's recipe being private. Also someone mentioned above about timelines, do we know how far the fluff is advancing?
