The other day I played some warhammer 40k against the Craftworld Eldar.
Deathface Pheonix Lord
2 5 man rangers
5 dark reapers
6 scatter bikes (2 squads)
1 viper
and 6 war walkers
As far as I understand this is a pretty soft eldar list.
I bought some iron warriors.
Warpsmith multimelta
20 marines (2 squads 1 rhino)
3 obliterators
and a stock hellbrute

The battle was all one sided especially after I made all the war walkers die from their own scatter lasers by overheating them. In my favour. I racked up some points and hid in ruins and out of sight of the heavy hitting dethfaces, but in the end my warpsmith failed in close combat against three scatter bikes killing only two and the last one won my opponent the game. I wanted to recieve advice how to later avoid the same errors. (Yes I have a helldrake.) I really like to use the ordinary marines so some micro managment tips for them would also be appriciated.

"Beyond that opening are my enemies. Behind me are warriors who would happily turn their weapons on me if they thought they could get away with it. Do you really think I'm doing this to try and impress anyone? I know who I am, and I don't give a greenskin's fart what anyone thinks of me."

Did you have anything else in your army? Before any upgrades that Eldar stuff is over 1000 points and yours is around 750.

Put the Heldrake in, maybe get more Oblits because at the moment there just isn't anything the Eldar player has to worry about if he takes the Oblits out. The regular marines just aren't very good unfortunately, they just sit there and don't do much of anything.
