Hi All,

So i am making a Grey knight list and i have never in my 2 years of playing really made an allied detachment list.

So the question is,

1. If i take an allied detachment, do i need to follow that detachments Force Organization Chart (1hq 1-2troop etc..) or can i just take the models i ideally want?

and

2. Is any faction able to ally with any faction? I am trying to ally Tau to Grey Knights, but lore wise, i dont think that makes much sense. Thanks!

1) you need to follow the allied detachment force organization, just remember you don't need to use the allied detachment for allies, you can use any detachment/formation that the faction you want to ally in can use.

2) there is nu restriction on who can ally with who, it does however effect how they do on the battle field. This can be found in the ally part of the brb.
