The blog covering my slowly growing Dropfleet (and eventual Dropzone) armies. My UCM has started is being named after Japanese warships circa WWII, It's not perfect (like the carriers for instance) but I like how it's been going so far. I've been moving around names of ships and I feel my first iteration wasn't quite right and with the new battlecruisers announced I needed to add them in. Also, in some places there's the mention of dreadnought class ships so I'm trying to plan ahead for those. I was just planning on doing IJN themed UCM, but after a question was asked I decided I would do a USN themed PHR fleet as well. Though as the UCM uses some German names the PHR may also include British ships as well, though I'm still working on names.

So all in all I'll need 8 battleship blisters, 4 battlecruiser blisters, 1 corvette pack, 2 frigate box, 1 battle fleet, and 6 starter fleets for my UCM and my PHR will need 4 battleship blisters, 3 battlecruiser blisters, 1 corvette pack, 1 frigate box, 1 battle fleet and 6 starter fleets.

Humble beginnings, just the 2 player starter so far.

The other ships from the starter have paint as well but aren't somebody yet. I know she looks plain but I wasn't able to decide on an accent color for her. Though I may add transfers later I'm not sure but I'm happy to say she's finished.

Red works well with the grey.

But where do I put the accents?? I was thinking somewhere on the lower hull since that would kinda be keeping with the theme.

The Mogami, Takao, and Hiyu. I changed the Myouko class to the Mogami class since the Myouko and Takao classes were very similar as are the Moscow and St. Petersburg. I added red and engine glow, I'm incredibly pleased with how they came out.

So that is my starter set UCM done. I want to add another starter set and a battleship next. I also want to get four space station sets and build Battle Station Midway (lots of guns), and Naval Station Yokosuka (more of a resupply stop). I'm also debating getting some corvettes, if I do I'll name them off of German and Japanese submarines.

Planning to do a US themed opfor?

Maybe? I'm not sure. I kinda wanna do US themed PHR. I actually just picked up another UCM starter set and my first battleship, should be getting them sometime next week. But maybe in a week or two I'll get a PHR starter and see how much I like them. If so then I'll probably build a US themed PHR force, though not sure what I'd name it after lol

I may just go with Task force Midway. I only really need one large Station and I've already decided it's going to be Yokosuka. It won't be as large as Battle Group Leyte but that's cause PHR operate in smaller fleets.

On another note, the new ships are remaining unpainted till I can get my hands on a white fine point sharpie so I can start naming ships.

Yes, I made a kancolle joke, and yes, I that is what I'll say everytime instead of announcing weapons free She was such a joy to paint and she looks beautiful. I'm still working on the other starter fleet I picked up, was in the midst of working on them when she came in the mail and I just had to drop everything and finish her. Also I'm moving some of the names of future ships around.

The Tokyo class battleships are now going to be named after the Fuso and Yamashiro I want to save the Yamato and Musashi for the dreadnoughts that are referenced in the fluff, if they are ever made in game I want them to be appropriately named.
