Hey, just wanted to know if I can take relic levi dreads in my dark angels 40k army and if so how? I want to try and take a pair of them in drop pods with some ravenwing just for fun.

As of 7th, yes (https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/PDF/Datasheets/LeviathanSiegeDreadnoughtRules.pdf).

We don't know about 8th yet, but I'd be surprised if they couldn't.

It's a Heavy Support choice, so you need something with a HS slot. Also, due to the Relic of Darkness / Relic of the Armoury rule you need to take a specific HQ to 'unlock' it but I'm not sure which one for Dark Angels - it used to be an Interrogator-Chaplain.

So the rules you posted are different to the ones in the HH book 6, is there another version? Also I look at the DA codex but can nothing about relics of the armoury rules and chaplins.

NVM I found it you do in a chaplins

The rules in HH book 6 are the HH/30k rules. The PDF link I posted earlier are the 'current' 40k rules (they were meant to be published in 'Fires of Cyraxus' but that got delayed).

The 'Relic of Darkness' rule is on the PDF, and 'Relic of the Armoury' is in 'Imperial Armour Volume Two – War Machines of the Adeptus Astartes' (as the PDF states).

The rules in Horus Heresy book 6 will be for using the Leviathan Dreadnoughty in games of Horus Heresy. The rules beast_gts posted are from Forgeworld's website, from the Leviathan Pattern Siege Dreadnought's store page. They are the rules for using it in games of Warhammer 40,000 which make use of some rules found in Imperial Armour Volume Two Second Edition, which is where the Relic of the Armoury rule can be found.

You can take one as normal in your Primary Detachment, but if you wish to take more than one you must also include an Interrogator-Chaplain in that Primary Detachment. The rest of the rule is somewhat outdated for 7th as it refers to Secondary Detachments and mandatory HQ choice requirements for such detachments. I suggest you discuss with your group if you wish to use one or more in any detachment that is not your Primary Detachment.

OK thx for the info.

Also a shame the 40k version can't use the vokite stuff, that would have been fun.

OMG just noticed the 40k version can't even take the grav-flux.....man whats the point now :(

Meh the 30k still has cooler weapon options and has access to all the relic rules.

The Interigator Chaplain is the needed HQ if you want to take more than 1 relic option in a DA army.
