Anyone know the skinny on the Forged in Battle ww2 line? We were teased with some Japanese pictures (and a few others) late last year with a promise of early 2017 release, but I've heard nothing since then. Their 8th Army and DAK figures I just bought are phenomenal, and was hoping for some Japanese infantry.

They have as sale on their 8th Army and DAK stuff at the moment.

FiB are notoriously poor at communicating new releases. IMO FiB have the best 15mm infantry sculpts on the market. Their vehicles have bases which divides opinion on them. Personally I like bases on vehicles.

I love FIB's sculpts, but their marketing and communication leaves allot to be desired.

Like you I'm eagerly awaiting the Japanese and US Marines they teased last year but not a peep. I asked them on Facebook when the release date would be and they said Winter. Well it's the following Summer now and not a word.

The sale was nice, as the price has been the only thing keeping me back since I found out about them (that and maybe the hope for decent plastic figures with v4, which never happened). Haven't tried their vehicles yet, but as you said, best infantry sculpts I've seen yet. Very crisp, very clear, and little in the way of cleanup.

The hope that I could see the same in Japanese infantry led to the OP. The BF kit I have now is terrible, and the Command Decision stuff is a step better but much too bendy to survive long I think.

Anyway, didn't know if anyone here had the inside scoop. Here's hoping...

Yep it's like they have some kind of money allergy.

They were due to attend a show in Sheffield last weekend. They didn't attend and there's no word on the Facebook or website. I know a local store that contacted them regarding stocking their range. No word from them in reply. Firestorm stock their stuff, they don't seem to restock often but it is discounted.

Since BF appears to have quit metal infantry FiB's stock must have risen somewhat. Maybe that'll provoke a reaction.

They've been doing kickstarters for the past few years which probably keeps them too busy to do much other minis. I think they're doing WW2 mechs now.
