I have been looking over the units and while our acolytes lost access to heavier armor I did notice one very intriguing thing. Acolytes while being 8 points a model are rocking 3 wounds each. Wondering how much this can be leveraged.

Noticed the Officio Assassinorum got much much cheaper.

The Eversor looks quite interesting to me at his now halved point cost and 3d6 charge distance gives him better then even odds of making a turn 1 charge. With 4 pistol shots and 8 attacks on the charge seems quite deadly if you run them in small groups.

Acolyte cheapness is a lot harder to leverage than it was when they had armour. And single multi-wound models are less good than more single-wound models since wounds don't spill over, if he was three Guardsmen instead of himself he'd be about as vulnerable to volume of DAM1 shots but he'd be less vulnerable to single high-power shots, as is he's a decent target for anything. Which is why he's half the price of three Guardsmen, I suppose (that and he has drastically reduced firepower).

I'm mildly amused by the Vindicare's weapons combining the effect of all three special ammo types (ignores Invuls, wounds on 2+, and does multiple wounds).

Fortunately the way 'factions' work it looks like the long headache of trying to patch together an army with an Inquisitor, Stormtroopers, an Assassin, and Grey Knights in it is over, at least. And Authority of the Inquisition/multiple units in the same transport does give Inquisitors a pretty nice selection of wheels.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Looking forward to reading those rules...tried downloading but the link seemed broken. Will try again.

Greyfax leading a bunch of Sisters of Silence, Stormtroopers and Primaris painted as black templars is my army project for 8th!

Dakka does have White Knights and is also rather infamous for it's Black Knights. A new edition brings out the passionate and not all of them are good at expressing themselves in written form. There have been plenty of hysterical responses from both sides so far. So we descend into pointless bickering with neither side listening to each other. So posting here becomes more masturbation than conversation.

I wonder what works better: a Vindicare, or a points-equivalent pile of ratlings.

Interesting question.... I've also been considering Skitarii but either way a good sniper is a must.

I like the new inquisitors. Its a shame that they took away my daemonsword, mallific powers, and some units that moved away to the sisters faction but the ability to commandeer almost any imperial transport is fun and makes up a lot : )

Overall the Inquisitors should be fun; going to have to find a way to fit one into my new army's narrative
