G'day boyz,

So I puchased myself a land raider redeemer/crusader

Im trying to decide which one i should build,

Does one of those ones suck real bad?

I already have the following:

1x twin link las land raider
1x predator with triple las
1x baal with assault canon and flamers
1x vindicator
1x death company in razorback with lascanon
1x death company with jetpacks
1x assault squad with jetpacks
2x tactical squads
1x librarian
1x captain

Any thoughts/suggestions would be super helpful!

Build the crusader. TL Hurricane bolters will do the trick in 8th.

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

I tend to agree, given that this is likely to be an infantry heavy edition, the amount of dakka a LR Crusader can put out should not be under estimated.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Just to clarify, I think with the hurricane bolsters you're looking at 24 shots each turn, with no penalty to BS as they're not heavy weapons. That's a lot of dakka, especially useful against enemy infantry. The rest of your army looks equipped to take down enemy armor just fine.

Is the Prometheus variant still a thing? That would give just as many shots as the crusader with better stats.

That many shots and those buggers will start to strip wounds off of bigger armoured targets too.

Everything counts in large amounts. It was the Rending motto for 4 editions and definitely applies in the edition where you always have a chance to wound something.

If you haven't yet made the purchase I'd tell you to get the death watch Landraider as for 3 extra pound you get the sprues for all the weapon options and with a quick ebay trawl for magnets you can get your landraider magnetised to be Godhammer/Crusader/Redeemer swappable. Definitely the best thing you can do in my opinion.

Just want to second this. For anyone getting a LR, the DW one is the way to go.

Magnets are your friend in general, and really shine on expensive kits.

Of the pair of LRC/LRR, I favor the crusader. Never been a fan of the fact that the LRR has to basically be in melee to use it’s main guns. That’s generally the cargo’s job. All the LRs look to have been given some major perks with 8th, but I think the LRR got the least out of it. The LRC puts out a huge amount of dakka now, hard to argue with that.

(Still primarily a fan of the Phobos, with the Godhammers)
