I'm looking for an old apoc battle report from white dwarf that had a secondary table with an orbital laser that could shoot at the main apoc table every turn. I believe that the battle report came out in the mid 2000's and was between imperials and chaos, though I'm not certain. I think the secondary table used the orbital defense laser that the GW team built out of a hamster ball and some other stuff.

The best description I could find online was the following really old, and vague, post.

GW did one once...can't remember where though. There was a secondary table that had exactly that...a massive battery that could be fired at the other table, but all the objectives were on the other side, so it was a trade off. Infantry and tanks couldn't move from one table to another, but aircraft could give up an turn and go from one to the other.

There was another one during the Armageddon War which had a main table and 3 side tables. 1 side table was an Ork Hulk that the Black Templars had to silence that was bombarding the main table, 1 side table included an Imperial Guard Basilisk line that was bombarding the main table that the Orks had to silence. Whilst the last side table was a 'Mad Max' battle between Irk Speed Freaks and White Scars to see who would reinforce the main table.
Back in 3rd or 4th I think before flyers.
