Army Summary
10 daemon princes flying into someones face for a beatdown. It's kind of comical.
What do you guys think about it?

This is not a hyper-competitive list. It has no way to hold objectives. It's just funny to play.

Yes. Nurgle is how I ran them.
Not just FNP. They can also use a psychic power to heal D3 wounds. They can buff up to do +1 to wound.

Dual talons are such a no brainier aren't they? Which is a bit of a pain because I suspect everyone has a sword or axe modelled...

Guy I know fought this recently. It's pretty stupid on the table.

Blood Angels, Custodes, Tzeentch, Alpha Legion, Astra Militarum, Deathwatch, Thousand Sons, Imperial Knights, Tau, Genestealer Cult.

I have a problem.

Being contrary for the sake of being contrary doesn't make you unique, it makes you annoying.

I like it .

We had the same idea, but only played 6-7 Princes with lots of Fleshhounds or a Fleshhound with Plaguedrones split.

I also have a Sword or Axe on all my Princes =(.

If you couldn't use the same Detachment twice, how would you build your list then?

New player here, really interested in this concept and have a couple of questions:

1) It feels like the princes will be really nasty vs regular troops and some elites, but with S7 attacks how will they fare vs tough elites and characters/vehicles? Something like nids with T8 models seems a really bad matchup.

2) If the above is a problem is it worth subbing be'lakor and juggling pts for a really strong character-killer like a Bloodthirster?

3) Like the above poster I was wondering about Fleshounds or similar presumably because they can help to soak overwatch or just tie stuff up

4) What does FNP discussed above mean for Nurgle princes? is it another word for their special wound soaking ability, or something else?

Each prince is still doing ~5 wounds per round to T8 creatures. It's not as bad as it seems. The reason is the damage on claws is 2.
They do ~7 damage per round on T7 targets like Rhinos.

The thirster would just get targeted right away. What makes this work is that there are no targets that can be picked out (Be'Lakor is a character). Like Darksider said, you can bring 6-7 princes with support.

Overwatch is never a big issue. You lose some models every now and then, but it's very rarely something that is game changing.
I've not tested Khorne dogs in the new edition. I tried plauge drones and they were OK. I would like to see how flamers do.

Disgusting Resilience is not quite FNP. You have to make a check on every wound that gets through. If a LC does 3 wounds, you make 3 DR checks. The invuln save is a single dice for all the wounds, but DR checks are individual - so it's not quite a FNP. It's a bit more predictable. You can also make DR checks on Mortal wounds, which is sweet. Nothing is better than suffering a perils only to be able to DR the wounds away.

They seem to hit kinda hard, but for fighting other monsters you may have to dedicate more than one prince to it.

Don't know about the Greater Deamons they seem good, but expansive and they get worse if they get damaged. So maybe it will be better to support you Princes with lots of fast small units.

In the other forum i visit sometimes, they said that Khornedogs are maybe to fragile now and to expansive and that you give your opponnent another juice target for their otherwise ineffective weapons against your princes.
But who knows, maybe they are incredible only testing will show how good they are.

Someone also said that Daemonprincespam will suck and that infantry will rule the new edition, but i don't know. What do you guys think about this?

Disgusting Resilience is really awesome. I play Nurgle in AOS (have the same Rule there) and they are really hard to remove, allthough they lack a lot of punching power .
