Subject: How much commission to charge for an original sculpt for a miniatures company?

I was at a tabletop RPG convention last weekend and struck up a conversation with one of the vendors. I showed them an original sculpt I made of a DnD Spectator (Beholder Lite) and ended up with an offer to submit a original sculpt, with the understanding that I would be paid a commission if they accept my sculpt.
Do any of you know what the payment range is for an original 28 mm sculpt commission is?
I realize that I'm an amateur trying to go professional, so I don't want to ask for top dollar prices. That being said I'd still like to get paid a fair amount, even if it's on the low end of the range.
Thanks,
Scott

Check out this thread: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/724224.page
He is selling one sculpt with full reproduction right for £600.
I have also seen some professional level sculptor offer commission for a normal sized human figure for £200 but can remember where.
It probably varies a lot depending on the sculpt.

Thanks for the reply, that was helpful.
I should have mentioned the size of the sculpt. It's a throne about the size of the Iron Throne from the Game of Thrones cable show, with a seated Queen and two kneeling robed figures on each side of the throne.

That sounds like a large project with the throne and all.
A regular 28mm figure should run about $350-500 depending on the sculptor (reputation helps up the price) so I'd think something in the $750-1000 range might be appropriate for 3 figures and throne. That is taking into account that you are "unknown" and therefore can't command top-tier pricing.
Congrats! That is awesome that your work generated interest. I hope everything works out!

I've seen as little as $200-250 but that is normally for a one off sculpt etc., not sure about selling the rights to reproduce it etc.
