This will be mostly a scratch built project blog by me! Shinigami-Ren
I have been modelling for 4 years, my dad has pushed me to create a blog and show of my creation in their entirety.
I hope to post often but hold no promises and hope to get lots of feedback and advise.

Here is some of my work so far.

This is what i am working on right now!!

so here you go dad, blog started!!

Not where I should be

At last, about time. I am incredibly bias, so I can't really say how great your work is. I am very proud though.

Welcome to the real world.

I'm not biased and I can say that the terrain is VERY impressive , also liking the direction of the demon.

er....do i et this right... you´re a true heir of a riveteer following the foorsteps of your dad Camkierhi...?

splendid! although, you´ll probably loose all your sanity...which might be a big loss...or not...can´t really tell...lost mine (if ever there was) some years ago^^

but now to your works...

that first tree looks really nice, shows many different techniques and finished has a very nice vibe to it...very poetic, snow and water effects in one small piece!

second one is also a really nice piece! looks very peaceful! and again... lots of different methods... you show great promise!

and the third...here you give us a non finished cliffhanger it seems...showing your sculpting prowess...

choice and direction starting wit a green goblin...well...i doubt if that could lead you too far away from greatness^^

(by the way.... congrats for choosing a name i can´t honestly promise to not tell my wife without any mistakes...truly the heir of your father..., we´ll need a nickname eventually^^)

cheers, vik

I'm in!

I especially like the terrain pieces. What inspired you to do them? Were they just something that you thought would be fun, or were you trying to do something specific with them? (or did your dad brow-beat you into doing them... it's OK, you can tell us... )

Great work on the terrain. Like the trees and the water feature.

Didn't realise the helmet was GS at first. Nice job.

@ Theophony Thank you for the comment
@ Viktor von domm i don't really think i'm the heir, more a spawn of satan hehe!! My sanity is long gone!
@ Gitsplitta that terrain was all just for fun! just got some stuff together and worked with it, one i got some direction of what was going on i went with it. The only thing dad forced me to do was start the blog.
@ Dr H thank you for the comment, any tips for the future?!

I added wings to my demon/thing, also added more detail to his back and tail.

All the things i have added to it from here is with super clay, its a light and easy moldible clay, air drying.

There is probably a story to current lack of hands..

Wings an tail look very good!

Nice progress. Good texture on the tail and raggedness of the wings.

I have so many tips for many things, it's difficult to just come out with one or two.
Feel free to look through my blogs on here as I tend to explain everything I do as I go along. Many things for people to learn from.
Or if you see something in my galleries that you like, just ask and I can tell you how I achieve something.

Or, if there is something you are having trouble with on your own models, just ask in here and I (and many others) will try to help.

It is looking stunning, she has a real talent, her art work for college is amazing. Wish she would listen a little more with regard to materials, but this is working out well, the clay she is using is very light and so the wings don't give any issues, it is wonderful having someone to bounce ideas and coming up with different ways of doing things.

@both... and thus we progress... i cherish creative arguments with my son felix too...they have a different perspective due to lack of experience...they simply don´t know (expect) something could not work out...so they try...which is what we old farts often wont try because we fear mistakes...happens when one grows older...

No critic here. Everything looks well done, osl is great, and so is the water effect .

I do have to ask if you used actual rubber bands to hold the pipes and struts, because that's what they look like to me. If not then that is astounding greenstuff work as it stays consistently the same width.

how come even the newbies can paint way better´n me...? ...:facpalm:

as Theo said... OSL looks spot on...fire, water and earth you got... but where is the ice

btw...is that actual rubberbands there on the straws or what did you use for the connections there?

Ah ha, I wondered what the cotton bud would become.

Good job, 'Ren. Nice piece.
The OSL is good.
The modelling of the fire is good. You could add grey (light or dark) or black as a final dry-brush on the cotton to show the fire becoming smoke. Just at the very extremes.

Water is nicely done. Good rough / swirly texture / shape to it. Consider white highlights or dry-brushing to show really frothy water when you want that look.

Rocks, plants (a specific from me for them, ask your Dad), 'shrooms, and mud all look great.

Only thing I can think to add would be a sign (notice, warning, whatever) to give the whole piece some context.

Good job.

To all who asked i made the rope around the pipe out of green stuff and it was tricky but worth it.

That was my first time doing OSL it was fun and daunting but worth it.

The demon now has a hand yay hehe.

I am not sure on the fire just yet but you get the concept.

This is what happens when i get random inspiration out of nowhere!!!

I am pleased with how its going!!

and this is something ive wanted to do for a while. create a rabbit for Blood-C. i love the rabbits and wanted to make one in 3D.

That's it for my update thank you for all the comments.

that fame in the goblins hand looks promising maybe add a small flamy bit branching out from the main flame...?

cant really be of assistance with the manga rabbit...about the current manga characters i have zero knowledge^^

your stone works appears as if you would lay down each stone with great care and a plan behind it...you probably have what it takes for riveting rivet-zen is behind the corner...

Follow your dad's advice. You'll probably have to re-do the blood on the ground... but I think it'll be worth it in the end.

I really like the brickwork, but for the torn parts I would suggest to separate the individual bricks as then it would look more realistic...but the piece really grows on me, despite its still being hugely creepy...but since that was the point..

Onwards to the next one

Your talent scares me more than the models, brilliant work, just wish you would take a little more effort on the little details. The base work is well done and is finished brilliantly, but as has been said, a few individual bricks would have made a difference.

I cannot wait to see what you come up with next.

Gods I am so proud of you.

I must admit to finding the giant, featureless, blood soaked, demon-rabbit-thingy slightly disturbing.... though very well executed. What is your father feeding you??
