I don't have pics, but wanted to give a rundown of my first 8th ed game last night. We were both testing some units out, and feeling out how the new edition flows. Here are the lists:

GK Vanguard Detachment

1- Draigo
1- Brotherhood Ancient
2- Apothecaries: swords
2- Dreadnoughts: 2 twin autocannons
5- Terminators: 2 hammers, 1 Psycannon
5- Terminators: 2 hammers, 1 Psycannon
6- Purgation squad: 4 Psycannons
6- Strike Squad: 1 Hammer
7- Strike Squad
2- Razorbacks: twin assault cannons

Eldar Craftworld Battalion (from memory)

1- Eldrad
3- Warlocks
10- Guardians: Bright Lance
10- Guardians: Bright Lance
2- War Walkers: scatter lasers
1- Wraithlord: 2 Bright Lances, flamers, sword
1- Wraithknight: 2 Cannons, 1 Scatter laser
1- Fire Prism
5- Rangers
10- Banshees
6- Swooping Hawks
6- Warp Spiders

I (GK) had first turn with Dawn of War zone with Big Guns as the mission. I put half my army on the Teleportarium (Draigo, Ancient, Apothecaries, and both Terminator squads). I split up the Dreadnoughts on either side of my DZ, as I thought they were likely to be a priority target. Both razorbacks were middle of the DZ, as I wanted to be able to shoot right away. The Strike squads I put on either side of the DZ, one in ruins and the other in the open. I kept the Purgation squad in another ruins out on a flank near where he had deployed his Prism, Guardians, and Rangers. My opponent deployed centrally and on his left flank, relying on Eldar speed to get where he needed to. This meant that my strategy of jumping in my "deathstar" would mean they were going to get a lot of attention from essentially his whole army right away.

I decided to go big or go home, and teleported in right in the middle of his army. My Smites were lackluster, rolling poorly and having him deny a good number of them. I also perils'ed on one Terminator squad, killing one and wounding another. One razorback and a Dreadnought fired at his Prism, but only stripped a few wounds; very disappointing. The other Dreadnought couldn't even kill one War Walker, and I was hoping to do more damage. Rapid Firing Bolters was fantastic, shredding his infantry. I even forgot about Draigo's ability to re-roll hits and they still got work done. The Purgation squad took out his Rangers, earning First Blood. I failed my charge on his Guardian squad with my Terminators.

His turn 1 he buffed up his Wraithknight, giving it Fortune and Guide. His Guardians blasted into my Terminators, but only managed to damage 1 squad (the one that perils'ed). His Spiders and Swooping Hawks Flickerjumped and Swooped onto my flank, trying to pick on the Purgation Squad. However, thanks to being in ruins, they had a 2+ save against his attacks and I maybe lost 1-2. His Wraightknight and Bright Lances were all directed at my Razorbacks, and they both wrecked. One blew up, killing a Strike squad member. Other shooting meant that only 1 Terminator was left in the wounded squad. My opponent was smart, and charged the Wraithknight into the Terminators that were not wounded first, ensuring his Banshees would go first when they charged, even if I used Command Points. The Wraithknight opted to use all his attacks to stomp, and killed 2 Terminators. Draigo Heroically Intervened, and he and the remaining Terminators (thanks to +1 attack from the banner, and re-rolling to hit thanks to Draigo) took half the wounds off the Wraithknight. The Banshees came down and charged into the remaining Terminator, and my Ancient and both Paladins Heroically Intervened. This meant all those fantastic Banshee attacks were directed at a single Terminator, and the characters in turn beat down the Banshees.

Having killed the Banshees and spanking the Wraithknight, I went from feeling I was screwed to feeling like this was my game. I blasted Smites everywhere, now that I was up close to his whole army. My Apothecaries brought back one of the dead Terminators from the squad attacking the Wraithknight. I think I finished off the Fire Prism by shooting the Dreadnought and Strike Squad at it. The Purgation Squad shot at the Swooping Hawks, killing all but the Exarch. I wanted to shoot the spiders, but were now in the ruins with me, giving them 2+ save. Not worth shooting. My other Strike Squad and Dreadnought fired at a squad of Guardians, killing all but a few. Draigo and the Terminators brought the Wraithknight down to 1 wound, and Draigo lost 3 wounds thanks to a stomp getting through his Stormshield. One of the Apothecaries killed off the other Guardian squad.

The details were fuzzy as it was late. My opponent had little retribution to give, but wanted Draigo dead. He continued to stomp him, and a Warlock came in with his Singing Spear and they managed to take him out. My Apothecaries were rock stars, and each brought back a dead Terminator, bringing the squad back to full personnel. However, the Wraithknight was down, and soon thereafter the only thing left was a Warlock, Eldrad, and a single War Walker. We called it, and it was a great learning game.

Good report!

Who won overall, and how did the Eldar feel when trying to take out hard targets like Dreads and Draigo?

The Grey Knight HQs are really tough. My Grand Master Voldus has killed a predator, nurgle lord, the dark eldar floaty cthulu, an archon, and multiple incubi and plague marines in my last 2 games without dying.

They wouldn't be who I would try to judge against, but my Drukhari opponent just couldn't deal with them. My 3xPaly 1xApoth and 1xVoldus killed 600 points of units in melee in 3 turns without any models dying. GK are really hero-hammery at the moment.

It's funny you mention Drukhari, because all of their Darklight weapons make me worried for my Terminators and Paladins!
