Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

Hey guys! So I've recently acquired a Shadowsword from my buddy and want to work it into my 30k list. I was wondering what book I can use for rules for it? I saw in the red book that Legions can use superheavies from any Forge World publication and give em the space marine crew upgrade, but I was just wondering what Shadowsword profile from where would be the most applicable? Or is their one in the HH series? Thank you for my help!

“Victory is not an abstract concept, it is the equation that sits at the heart of strategy. Victory is the will to expend lives and munitions in attack, overmatching the defenders’reserves of manpower and ordnance. As long as my Iron Warriors are willing to pay any price in pursuit of victory, we shall never be defeated.” - The Primarch Perturabo, Master of the Iron Warriors

Well it's in Apocalpyse second edition (have open in front of me). Might be in the Monkta campaign book too.

Hopefully it'll be reprinted in the new HH rulebook as all the 40k books are OOP.

Cool thanks! I'll try and see if anyone in my group has that. I hope they reprint it for 30k as well cause it's such a cool model and I love the unit fluff of the tank/titan hunter that it is

The latest legion red book has an addendum in it about using baneblades and their variants (as well as a ton of other well recognised 40k super heavies and forgeworld models) in legion armies. It also lets you pay for battle servitor control and space marine crew upgrades for them.
It's mentioned quite early on, before the allies matrix or warlord traits.

Rules are also in the escalation book, if that is still current.

The current rules allowing you to Use it are in the Legions Astartes Army Lists book.

The actual rules are in the most recent 40k:Apocalypse book or the Mont'ka supplement. Neither of which are available to buy after tomorrow!

They are also in the Solar Axillia book

You can't take the solar auxilia superheavies - they have different upgrade options, explorator adaptions and in some cases a different points cost.

It'll give you the basic rules, but the correct Legion points and upgrades are Apocalype or Mont'ka.

(It says you can take the unit 'Shadowsword' but not the unit 'Solar Auxilia Shadow sword')
