Hi everyone, I'm from central washington. This will be my second time I have collected 40K models. The last time I tried to jump into this world was in 2002 and I was much younger and lacked the proper funds to really get in. So now that I'm married, kids, a mortgage...I'm giving it another try. Due to a lack of hobby places in town after hastings shutdown, I may have never gotten into it. But the guy that works for me has been reading all the lore for the last 3 months and just spouted out that we should all play 40K. And being very familiar with the models I decided hell why not! And I will be the first one to admit that the part I am enjoying the most is making scenery. I have pre ordered the Dice, and books. And I bought 1500 points worth of Dark Eldar. now going through the slow (but getting faster) process of assembly/painting. i was fearful that my wife would be upset when she saw the amount I have spent on these...but I sold some things from another project to cover it...and really trying to not spend every waking moment in my office painting LOL. I have already learned the tough lesson of not using cheap primer. And after borrowing a can of Citadel Chaos Black primer I will never go back. Granted they don't look bad from arms length but every time I look at them under the desk lamp with the magnifier i cringe a little.

I'm ready for hours of fun!

I'm sure you will enjoy the whole process and with 8th edition dropping this weekend its the perfect time to get in. I read those Dark eldar open topped vehicles are spectacular now!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...
