Just got into FOW and have not even played a game yet. So, I was able to put together and paint a 2nd SS (2,000 points) army. I had got the Atlantik Wall & Eastern Front & Desperate Measures books. All the dice & tokens. (all this through an even trade with a guy!).

And then I heard there's a V4 of FOW now.

I went and bought the V4 rulebook right away. I see that they're (re)starting with mid war and it's all Afrika (although applicable to any theatre). However, now I hear there are cards that come with the units (like Team Yankee)? The point system has changed? Will there be new books soon? Are the dice & token set(s) of V3 still usable? Will cards be in a pdf format for units, or will they sell them in packs?

Can someone clue me into how my V3 army will transition into a V4 army?

For now, there are no changes to the LW (44-45) or EW (39-41) lists, so you are still good with the books you have. The rulebook you bought is *only* for the new MW lists that they have released (DAK and Desert Rats and others to come). To play LW or EW you need to get ahold of the free EW/LW rulebook, and the free book to adapt the EW/LW lists to v4. They were giving these away to anyone with a copy of the old v3 rulebook, but I'm not sure if they are still available. You can still download the two books from the FOW website:

There are no cards for EW/LW as of now, and the point values remain the same. There probably won't be any changes until they start revising the lists for those periods to be fully v4 compliant like the new MW lists. This probably won't happen for at least a year, maybe two, (until they finish MW North Africa and Eastern Front) so you have plenty of time to game using the lists you have. I think the old tokens should still work, they came out with new ones for the MW Brits and Germans, but they are mostly the same.
