What would make the beat 3rd ship for this list.

Nora Wexley
-Alliance Overhaul
-PTL
-Kyle Katarn
-BB-8

Shara Bay
-Alliance Overhaul
-Adaptability
-Jan Ors
-R2-D2

I am thinking;

Jess Pava
-R3-A2
-Primed Thrusters
-Integrated Astro

OR

Gold Squadren Y-wing
-R3-A2
-BTL Title
-Ion Cannon Turret

With the Y-wing I would be able to add Proton Torps and Guidance Chips to Nora

I'd go with the Y-Wing maybe TLT over Ion, or Biggs

Also PTL / BB-8 seems a bit shaky as if you are stressed you can't use BB's ability

Yup drop BB-8 if you plan on being stressed at all. And you can't go to wrong with a Y-wing with TLT.

PTL and BB-8 doesn't leave me stressed because if the order that everything is done.

If I give the Y-wing a TLT I won't have the points for the Proton Torps.

Or I could Shara Extertise instead of adaptability...

Fair point I overlooked PTL'ing off BB-8 then doing the green to unstress, I blame the sunshine it's slowing my troll brain to a virtual stop

The Stresshog is way more potent with a TLT than having a single shot of Proton Torps. For one extra point, you can deal with a bunch more diverse threats and strip many more tokens.

What about giving the stress hog the Ion Cannon Turret so Shara Bay can have expertise instead of adaptability?

You could go for plasma torpedoes instead of the protons, that would give you the point for TLT and give you ordnance

Shadowrun is the best game ever. It's the only thing I have ever played in which I have jumped out of a shot out van with a chainsaw to cut a flying drone in half before leveling a building with ANFO assisted by a troll, a dwarf, an elf, and a wizard.

Basically what you're saying is you don't particularly value having a TLT, right?

I know TLT' s are good, but I am leaning toward the Ion Cannon Turret. You will still give the target 2 stress tokens, but with a chance to add an ion token to the target.

On the off chance you'll roll good naturally. Because after that first pass, you're not doing actions for a while.

A friend of mine tried this tonight:

PTL-Regen Corran
Stresshog
Biggs

Granted, it's not two ARC-170, but it was rather good.

Confirming that this is a good list. It's the list I've been flying off and on since the stresshog title was printed, and it works. It's not always the best list for a meta, but the concept is definitely solid.

Two problems with this:

1) The ion cannon can give an ion token, but it's not likely to because you have no dice modification. The TLT, with double the 3-dice shots, has a much better chance of getting some lucky rolls, using up the target's tokens, and getting some damage through. The ion cannon is only really a good option in a low-agility meta full of BBBBZ and similar lists, right now it isn't reliable at all.

2) The ion cannon double stresses at range 1, not range 3, which is a much smaller region on the table. With the TLT you're going to get a lot more double-stress shots, even if they both theoretically can do it.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

The way my friend flew it, he used Biggs only for the Stresshog at first, with Corran in a pincer role. Biggs covered him after by good piloting, but if your opponent ignores Corran, would you say this is a good use of it?
