Good evening everyone,

I have a quick question. Did the Rubric affect all Thousand Sons Marines? Would it, say, have affected TS Astartes who may not have been near Prospero when the Space Wolves attacked but were stationed elsewhere?

Cheers all,
Ace

Yes. All of them across space and time.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

As far as we know at least

I think this has been asked recently, but my interpretation was that it affected all Thousand Sons on the planet of Sorcerers. I use this as a base for a separate narrative I'm working on, so I'm speaking from a position of bias, but it seems likely that it can be assumed that all the Thousand Sons were affected because no Thousand Sons were known to be cut off from the rest of the legion. This doesn't rule out the possibility that some where off-planet and unaffected.

Thanks guys, I'm painting up some Rubric marines as well as some Birning of Prospero figures so I was toying with ideas of crossover. Cheers all!

Then where did the Magpies come from? (Seriously curious, not being sarcastic).

It's not actually official that they are a Thousand Sons successor chapter, but even they are it doesn't mean they were made from loyalist Thousand Sons. Mars still has the original genetic material used to create all the legions, including the two lost ones even. They could have simply started the chapter from that rather than from any harvested geneseed.

Now that's a very fun story for another day but one that nonetheless interests me.
