Just popped up on my Facebook - seemingly first available at the Milton Keynes Store 8th and 9th July

Spoiler:

Price confirmed to be £20 a pop.

A customer can buy as many as they want, as they're effectively being cast up to meet orders - downside is they come out on the 2nd September 2017, so anyone ordering one will have a bit of a wait, which is completely unavoidable.

SHAMELESS PLUG

I will be doing a run to the Milton Keynes store on behalf of my FB Group - all procurement and postage is done strictly at cost. Sign up if you want me to nab you one too.

going to be annoyed with this one, I don't usually care about store exclusives but there's no basic power armoured captain type character in the new primaris range yet, so making this a limited thing gets up my nose

Looks ok with helmet, but weird without, strange angle?

Do you really think there isn't one on the way as part of the actual release--which is slated to be July as well?

Might do a run to Milton Keynes on behalf of my Facebook group.

Just waiting on price, and expected stock. It's one thing to redistribute the goodies to the geographically unfortunate, but not at the expense of the locals!

Looks okay, particularly with the helmet. I can see this becoming a collectible like the other limited minis they've done. (Still a stupid thing, since all of those would sell well normally).

Just need to know when I can get one from my local GW - still waiting to get the terminator captain from last year.

Happen I've got about 10 GW's in relatively easy driving distance - more if I count those in That London.

So need to sign up to their FB feeds and keep an eye out for other anniversaries.

No idea, but as it stands, this is the only confirmed one, and it's rumoured to be a store anniversary exclusive, and that bothers me. Is that alright yeah?

You can be bothered, but it's a bit of a silly thing to be bothered by. This isn't Infinity where you have them pulling arm or head options from models to release them as limited editions/exclusives.

How hard do you think something like this would be to convert up from a full Primaris boxed set?

Thanks! That looks amazing.

It's a shame I'll never, ever see one in person due to GW's ridiculous GW store only promo policy. I live in the US. We don't have GW stores everywhere and I'm not willing to drive hours and hours to get to the closest one.

I really wish they'd stick to promo items like dice or artwork cards. Making exclusive models that huge segments of your customer base will never reasonably be able to get their hands on just makes a bunch of people mad.

Again - we can speculate on what may be made available in the future but for now I'd rather stick to the topic of this thread, which is this model, which represents a gap in the range and which should not be limited availability in my opinion on that basis. Yes, I'm aware I could convert something.

Looks great! Depending on the price of it, if anyone here is going to milton keynes for these guys, can someone pick one up for me too and post it? It's too far for me to go on my learner motorbike.

Shameless plug is shameless!

We make no promises on availability, but we might just be able to help you out.

I hate these store opening exclusives. Throw them up on the website as Direct Orders for the rest of us! I'm still bitter that the Philippines got that amazing Terminator Chaplain. Like what in the literal !@#$ JUST TAKE MY MONEY!

Nice, I like it.

Still not sure how they have Primaris who are experienced enough to be even Lieutenants, let alone Captains, but whatevs.

'Normal' Marines can be upgraded to Primaris, and Cawl's first batch of Primaris have been fighting for over 100 years by the time of the Dark Imperium novel.

The Primaris booklet also mentions that Captains are sometimes singled out during training. As for Lieutenants, well modern militaries have Lieutenants that have no experience so consider it some added realism.

There appears to be conflicting reports here.

It has, apparently, been claimed during the 8th edition release hype that marines can be "upgraded", however 2 well established no reason to lie BL authors have independently stated that they have been told that this is not the case and that this is not possible.

.. currently anyway.
