Thought this would be a good idea for a thread due to the massive amount of games on sale right now on Steam, and the chances of most people not having the time or money for every good one. Simply put in a recommendation for something on sale that you reckon shouldn't be missed! My recommendation is Insurgency. If you ever wanted realistic combat like in Arma, but keeping the fast pace, intensity and game modes of Counter Strike and Battlefield, as well as cooperative PvE game modes, you need to play this. A game that I would have recommended at full price as being an absolute steal, now for £1.04 (or $1.32).

I'd like to recommend Prison Architect. The game's on sale currently for $7.49, and it looks like it'll be quite a blast to play!

Wolfenstein: The New Order if you don't have it already.
Either of the more recent Tomb Raider games.
X-Com (haven't played the newer sequel).
Just picked up all of Hitman.
Telltale's Walking Dead games are also amazing.

Pretty fun and challenging so far, but still early in game. Kind of reminds me of Fallout 1+2 in some respects.

I was going to make a separate thread, but this is a perfect opportunity:
Any recommendations of BFG: Armada or Warhammer: Total War? Usually they're pricey, but with the sale they're far more affordable.

Really liked BFG. Could not get into TW myself (at all) but virtually everyone else I've talked to raves about it.
I'd snap them up.

I would highly recommend getting Total War: Warhammer if you could get it. The DLC makes it better, but the base game itself is terribly fun.

Total War: warhammer's best contribution to the Total War series is that it doesn't take itself super seriously. It knows that all you want to get out of the game is watching huge armies with rediculous monstrous creatures smash into each other. It does this very well.

Anybody had experience with Battle Brothers? I enjoy Darkest Dungeon, so I'm hoping for a similar experience but one that is graphically less... graphic. My boys are too young for unseeable horrors, or gouts of blood and gore. The little pixel chess guys losing their heads would probably just make them laugh.
edit- To clarify- they'd be watching the game, not playing it. They're still loving Disney Infinity.

Just be careful if you have an AMD graphics card; W:TNO doesn't appear to play nicely with them, if it plays at all.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

I've no issues on my 270X but I played it over a year ago so maybe new driver issues? Friend of mine said it was a problem with the 400 series and up. I will second that it is a great game! That and new DOOM are the best FPS's released in years

Fallout 3 and GTA San Andreas going for 3 quid.
Cant really say no if you've never played them.
Is 40k Sanctus Reach worth getting? Its discounted but still 20 quid which seems a little steep.

Something smaller, but Armello is a good time. Basically Redwall meets Game of Thrones on a digital boardgame that plays like an actual boardgame with elements that no physical one could make happen. Plus it's good to support a pretty amazing art team for their trailers:

It's only a couple of quid now but that's a couple of quid wasted if the game is unplayable.
TW: Warhammer is a steal, definitely going to make sure I pick it up before the sale ends.

Is Galactic Civilizations 3 a good game? I'm considering picking up the big bundle with it and all of its add-ons for $30 (regularly $80+). I don't want to do that if it's no good, though.
