Hey fellow wargamers!

I know you guys have some battles to get to so I'll get right to the point...

I'm putting together some tutorials about how to build wargame terrain and I want to make sure it's something that really helps you in game.
Something that brings a better experience to you while playing WH40k or a cool style of building you want to see more of...

So, will you let me know your biggest questions when it comes to making terrain? It could be anything... Even if you think its silly.

Just post a question or comment.

In exchange for your advice, I'll give you a free copy of the product before I release it to everyone else. (Ill private message a link to you after you comment. The finished product will probably take me a month or so to create)

Ok, so:

What is the #1 question you have about making terrain for WH40K?

A good start is where to get cheap materials and tools for building terrain. What kinds of tools and materials work best.

Since it's 8th and cities of death has the rule "height advantage" it's a solid idea to plan for every level of terrain to be 3" above the one below it.

That's my comment. Plan the terrain to meet the mechanics of the game.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

One consideration when building for 8th, it's pretty much either area terrain or a barricade. That and avoid keyholes or poorly place windows/gaps in walls. The reason being is 8th is pretty much all or nothing for targetting, if the enemy can see one model in ruin because of a keyhole shot, he can now target/kill the whole unit. This can be a real downer when the owning player only realizes there's a small hole in a wall after taking fire. So ya, very important to have large los blocking walls/objets that are 100% solid.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.
