So our lovely razorwing flocks and tantalus seem all the new rage on several army lists, but exactly how are people presenting 30+ flocks or tantalus at all? Neither model seems easily available, unless I'm missing something, with tantalus being out of stock on forgeworld and probably not commonly had by most anyway and with razorwing flocks being....20 dollars for one? >.>

I've had my tantalus for a while -- it's a finicky model even by FW standards. You'll need the trusty heat gun and greenstuff for it most definetly - I had some horrible fitment on the front of the prow, but solved with a bit of blood and thunder.

They are making more from what I was told last time (I want another one) - so I'd hope to see it back in the store soon if not within a week or so. They sold out right after IA released :(

As for razorwings -- don't buy GW. Buy the Zombicide Murder of Crowz box -- nets you 15 of bases with 4 birds each (and the sculpts look better by a large margin).

Should set you back 20$ per box of 15, amazon prime

I have no idea about the Tantalus (which is apparently only one step above "rice paper in rain" in terms of durability) but Razorflocks have had a lot of cheap alternative conversions. Back when the Codex was released there wasn't a model for the Razorflock so people found a ton of different alternatives. Usually leftover decoration pieces like the bees on Drycha (or at least back then it was a piece off of the now discontinued Necrosphinx) or flying bits of blades off of various dark eldar vehicles.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.
