I like the look of the ForgeWorld Chaplain Dreadnought.

Does anyone who owns a FW Venerable Dreadnought know if the arms from the GW Venerable kit will fit?

Before I order the Index just for the Chaplain Dread, can someone who has the book give me an idea of what his wargear options are?

If it's normal Dreadnought equipment I have Arms, CCWs, Plasma Cannons, Lascannons, and accessories left over from building Venerable Riflemen, and would like to use some of them.

I can't say wether the arms will fir, though if they don't you'll be able to make them fit with a bit of GS and cutting certainly and i'm fairly sure they WOULD fit anyway.

As far as options are concerned he starts with 2 CCW with inbuilt HF or Stormbolters and can replace 1 with an assault cannon, Multi-melta, Twin Lascannon or a dreadnought inferno cannon which is a S6 flamer with ap-1 and D2.

Personally i'm just converting a standard Venerable into one

Thanks for the response! I was wanting to give him a CCW/HF and either a Plasma Cannon or Assault Cannon, so it looks like I've got the arms.

No worries man, when you get a chance to check out his rules too, he's a character with 9 wounds so benefits from the targetting rules other characers do and has an invuln and FNP.

You've honestly picked a great unit to add to an army

I've got one and yes the other arms do fit. You made need to file or bulk them a little to fit but that's about it.
