The mini SNES Classic launches in September for $80

Nintendo has revealed details for the SNES Classic. The standalone mini console will feature 21 games, including Super Mario World, Earthbound, Super Mario Kart, and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. But the most surprising inclusion is Star Fox 2, the unreleased sequel to the original Star Fox for SNES.

But the most surprising inclusion is Star Fox 2, the unreleased sequel to the original Star Fox for SNES.

The Super NES Classic Edition will launch on September 29th for $79.99. Like its predecessor the NES Classic, it will allow players to easily play retro games on high-definition televisions, thanks to an HDMI connection.

The Super NES Classic is Nintendo’s follow-up to the NES Classic, which launched in fall 2016. The console was notoriously difficult to find due to limited stock, and was discontinued earlier this year.

I know I could get emulators or the like, but to have it on a cheap mini console with two controllers - I seriously cannot wait!

Loved Super Mario Kart and World, of course, and also Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island (so good!), and Star Fox in my case. An unreleased Star Fox sequel just blew my mind, though

Also looking forward to trying some of these which were highly rated but I never got to play - including Super Metroid!

They've said they'll sell it from September through the end of 2017, so hopefully they've learned from the mini NES to make Lots and Lots of them

The UK preorders went up yesterday and sold out everywhere really fast

there will no doubt be more waves but I think it's going to be even harder to get hold of than the micro NES despite Nintendo saying they're going to produce more
