The changeling's weapon can copy the stats of any melee weapon carried by an enemy infantry model within 1", RAW what happens when it cannot copy a weapon, such as when fighting a vehicle? His weapon has no stats and he doesn't get the regular strength user ap 0 weapon because he already has a melee weapon. Does he just not get to attack at all? I know RAI he is probably just meant to use the standard close combat weapon from the rulebook, but RAW doesn't support it, he just has a S* AP* D* weapon.

You are right, he can't make any attacks RaW unless there is infantry near him.

RAW he can only copy the weapon of an infantry model which is what I am referring to. Not that the vehicle has no weapon. Or are you saying the vehicle is infantry?

Yeah I am an idiot, sorry. I picked that up as soon as I posted. Looks like RaW he can't make any CCW attacks, the same as a Dakkafex with Bone Mace can't make more than 1. They really should have made that rule "A model may always choose to fight with this weapon" rather than the issue causing rule it is now.
