Reworking my 7th edition list to try and be a little more competitive in 8th. So far in limited practice, I am happy to see my harlequins be viable after tough times in 7th edition.

Outrider Detachment

Shadowseer - 134 pts

4 x 3 Razorwing Flocks - 21 pts each

Voidraven Bomber with Dark Scythes and Voidraven missiles - 185 pts

Total pts 1995
Command Points - 8

Basic idea is to have the dark reapers and voidraven soften up any vehicles/monsters while the troupes try to stay out of line of sight and get in position to mass assault. Since reapers can move and fire without penalty they can try and stay out of line of sight for alpha strikes. Razorwing flocks provide some screens from deepstrike bombs/alpha strikes and also provide some objective holders if the opponent ignores them.

Not sure the missiles on the void raven are worth it, so could save some points there for something else.

Any thoughts?

Offensively, I like dark reapers.

Defensively... I expect them to be wiped from the board on turn 1. T3 and no ablative wounds is an unhappy combination, as they're vulnerable to both weight of fire AND anti-heavy infantry weapons like anything plasma, which wounds on 2+ and reduced saves to 5+ even in cover

Staying out of sight is tricky, as there are just so many movement/drop shenanigans.

Efficiency is the highest virtue.
