Hey everyone,

i just bought 2 new models to kitbash/convert them into Mauler/Forgefiends. Now, i know that magnetizing is a thing, but
i'm usually more about very heavy kitbashing - and that mostly ends in glueing everything together rather than leaving enough
space to magnetize anything. Now, i already have 3 Maulerfiends - i loved them in 7th. Edition & i love them in 8th. Edition as
well but i'm not quite sure if 5 Maulerfiends in a very assault-heavy army may be a bit overkill or maybe not.. not quite sure

So, instead of following my 'gut feeling' and converting even more Maulerfiends, i ask you on your thoughts about the Pro's & Con's
of the Forge & Maulerfiend(s).

I might add, that my Crimson Slaughter-army is mostly Close Combat oriented; lot's of fast-ish units like Spawn, Possessed, bikes,
Juggerlords & Melta-Chosen in Rhino's.
Thanks in advance

The plasmafiend might be up your ally. With so many big bases it might be hard to fit them where you need them so why not dish out some plasma death?

You can't go too wrong with any of them, really. I prefer the autocannons though.

The 4+ to hit really bugs me. Especially on the guns, as if they move at all, they hit on 5+.

Prescience is a Chaos psychic power that adds +1 to To Hit rolls if you're worried about that.

If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!

But you can only cast it on one unit and you might want to cast on something with more output to get the most out of it.

Yeah, both have this issue - But i've learned that a Dark Apostle allows every <Legion> unit to reroll failed to-hit rolls, so a plus for the
Mauler i suppose.

The Plasma Fiend does indeed look very cool, and it would fit with the model i bought aside of a Forgefiend:
