I'm on the lookout for a better way to store my incredibly large collection of Infinity models. I'm fast approaching having the entire Haqqislam faction, and right now they hover between several foam cases as I get more and look for other nooks and crannies to put them. I'm moving to magnetized transportation for my Malifaux collection, so I decided to look that way for storing my Haqqislam as well. I've heard a lot of people praise Tableware, and their full tower looks like it should hold my whole collection with plenty of room to expand over the coming years.

However, to store all of those infantry, I'm likely going to have to resort to their trays with 20 25mm base slots. Does anyone have and pictures of those particular trays with miniatures in them? I'd like to get an idea of how closely they get packed together.

I use Tablewar cases exclusively for my armies, and for my troop-heavy Imperial Guard, I have begun to move away from using the tray toppers and just using the bottom tray. Without the tray toppers you have the entire surface area of the tin plate to work with which allows you to store more figures on a tray (and it also allows more dynamically posed models to fit).

I'll snap some pictures tonight when I am home. But my recommendation is to just order the base trays and tin plates and ignore the toppers. The only downside is that you can't make the trays match your army's basing, so the display aspect loses out to the transport needs of the army. Still, if you just want pure transportation capacity the topper-less trays are the way to go.

I can get all of the infantry below to fit in 1 case.

Thanks!

I also noticed you buy the trays separately, so I'm just going to order the tray itself and the topper to have a look. Worst case I spend $10 and find out it's better for my stuff without the topper.

Here is what I mean:

The IG on the left have the tray topper and you are limited to 20 troops max on the tray.

The IG on the right don't have the topper and you can cram a lot more figures onto the tray.

I also recommend their double-wide tray. You can fit a lot of figures on that thing!

That's very helpful. While you can fit more on an open tray, I think I will order and try a single 20x25mm tray to try. The gaps between the spots look like enough for the more dynamic models but small enough to fit a decent amount.

If I don't like it in a single tray I can just go with open for the rest. Thank you!

No problem! Definitely play around with different configurations and most of all, enjoy your new case! They really are lovely cases (I think I am up to 5 now ).

I have one

i just put sheet metal on the whole tray rather than the mini pull out trays to save money

it holds a ton of stuff but its a bit big for me personally.

I got super lazy and did the opposite.
I got the flat plastic trays and glued magnetic sheeting to them.
Then I just put washers on my models, instead of magnets, and the tray holds them down.
