There won't be a primaris only codex, but you'll easily be able to make a Primaris only army (and I am of the personal opinion that it's highly likely that 9th edition will make primaris marines the ONLY marines).

Primaris are just going to be unit choices in a Space Marine army.

Oh man, you guys will be in for a surprise when it's going to be Primaris only from here on out.

If there are normal space marine stuff in the codex, it'll be there as legacy stuff. Then again, remember that they already covered all that in the indexes.

I don't think this is going to "suprise" anyone. everyone knows that the focus for the forseeable future will be on Primaris Marines. the point is that no one is predicting GW will phase old out Marines.

Primaris will be in the new SM Codex and are not getting a separate codex. Confirmed units so far:

Intercessors
Inceptors
Inceptor variants with dual plasma pistols
Reivers (infiltration and terror troops)
Aggressors (models shown so far have missile launchers and bolt-storm gauntlets in Gravis armour so they look somewhere between Devastators and Terminators).
Captains
Librarians
Chaplains
Apothecaries
