First model I've painted in several years. Trying to get back intonthe swing of things. Forgive me for the bad pictures. Don't have a proper set up yet. Also some good brush recommendations would be appreciated. Mine are garbage. Criticism very much appreciated.

Highlight neatness is ok, though I find the armor to be too dark. In the pics it comes more black than dark blue. Could benefit from more detailing, such as the bolster skull-eagle, backpack vents, wrist buttons, etc. You seem to control the brush fine; it just feels unfinished.

Windsor & Newton series 7 brushes are nice, and I hear good things about Rosemary & Co.
I'm the type that tends to feel uncomfortable using costlier brushes, so I usually just pick up batches of Winsor & Newton Cotmans or Princeton Selects when they're on sale.
I'd recommend sampling various brands to see what feels best for you.

Thanks for the feedback. I've been having the hardest time getting the blue just right. I've tried using kantor blue and washing it with a dark wash as I've seen in some tutorials. I'm going to go back over and try to lighten it up and pick out some more details. This was also my first attempt at actually edge highlighting ( I hate it ). In the past I was all for team drybrush but all the crimson fists I see painted have some pretty extreme edge highlights.
