As a bit of a change of scenery from my pre isstvaan Sons of Horus I'm going to do the small detachment of Word Bearers that joined the 63rd for a while including Erebus.

I'm wondering if anyone has any modelling ideas for a pre-Heresy/Great Crusade Erebus? Weapons, armour, accessories and bitz suggestions would all be appreciated.

..you do know Erebus has a model right? Are you planning to make your own (perhaps a great crusade version) ?

Just use the Erebus model, there is nothing overtly Chaos about his model, and is likely how he would have looked while with the 63rd considering by that point the Legion had been corrupted for 50 years.

I'd just paint the existing model in their previous livery of grey. That would be more than sufficient.
