I'd love to take a loadout with 2 cannons and 3 D-scythes, but sadly GW dropped the ball ...again... and forced the entire unit to take either/or.

But the general consensus seems to be D-Scythes all day, everyday.

Yup, if you have 1 unit and want to choose a single configuration then D-scythes are the optimum choice.

Hot D-scythe on D-scythe action. Thanks guys. That gives me a good base to start

I only have wraithcannon and to date they are awesome and my opponents number one target after they get a round of wraithcannon is to kill the wraithguard. Just sayin

If you just custom mod your D-Scythes a bit, you can probably just say they are whichever one you want them to be in the future so long as they don't look too much like one or the other innately.

If you're not into conversions disregard this.

Actually..that's a pretty good argument. Just make them look kinda like both. No one in my meta will notice/care as long as I tell them before hand.

If you intend to play more than 1 unit and model them this way, you need to make sure all units have the same loadout, or are clearly distinct from each other
As long as you do that, I'm sure no one will have an issue

I think the blades look cooler and with the swords are putting out 5 roll to hits each on the charge. So far my blades have outshined both my guards, scythe and cannon in every game.
