Hey Dakkanaughts,

I'm looking for some suggestions on how to make some (preferably winged) Seraphim as I am looking at starting a SoB army. I just happen to hate most of the SoB models...except for Celestine. I'm open to various sources of wings, female heads/torsos...though I suppose if they wear helmets...anyone wearing real armor, as opposed to ceremonial sisters armor...would be pretty hard to distinguish from a man (except perhaps for proportions.)

Also looking at making a successor Blood Angels chapter and looking for a good alternate Blood Priest model that I can stick some wings (for a jump-pack.)

Basically I am trying to make a very winged army of Holy Avengers to support work with my IG/IK/AM/TS armies.

I have a bunch of winged Seraphim. Most are actual Seraphim with wings. I did convert a Celestine out of a Ghost from Reaper, using eagle wings and such. Most I did used hawkrider wings, but I have also sculpted a lot of my own wings. I struggled to find wings I liked and could shape. Anyway, Link to my gallery here:

As well as my regular page where there are more pictures:

I wish I had some suggestions for alternate miniatures that are less expensive. I don't. Sculpting wings is time consuming, but really not very hard. If you really care, I gave some pointers here:

I sculpt a lot, I do not claim to be an expert.

Keeping the hobby side alive!

I never forget the Dakka unit scale is binary: Units are either OP or Garbage.

I've been building a Sisters of Battle army, using Dreamforge Valkyr minis with Statuesque female heads (mostly). Then adding 40k bits as available. I happen to like the "heavy armor" look of the Dreamforge minis, though it of course isn't for everyone.

Decided to do some Seraphim when I got Celestine, and I liked the looks of the wing packs from Puppetswar. So more or less the same conversion, with a different pack.
