Hello, I'm new here and quite new to the game actually, I'm building a necron army right now and could use some recommendations. So far I have 24 Warriors, 5 Immortals, 3 Tombblades and 6 Scarabs (the little guys that came with the warrior packs) I'm just focusing on building right now. I would like to get one pack of each unit for diversity if that would work. I don't know like I said I'm very new any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, and welcome! You'll probably want to get the book Xenos: 1 first, as well as a copy of the rules. That will help you figure out what will make a viable army for the game.
Collecting a variety of units can be fun, but not all units are made equal. You'll do pretty well with what you have plus a few extra Warriors, a Ghost Ark or two and a Necron Lord.

That aside, between the immortal and the warriors, you're one HQ short of a proper batallion detachment and that's a good place to start.
I don't really play necrons so I don't know if it's better to have a second lord, or a destroyer, cryptek, or one of the named guys though.

Awesome, I got my rule books and I'm having a little trouble following, for the battalion detachment... Does it require all of those units to be viable? Or is it just the min-max you can have for a battalion detachment?

You adhere to the minimum and have no more than the maximum.
So a battalion is 2 HQ and 3 Troop units, and then up to 1 additional HQ, 3 additional troops, up to 6 elites, etc.

One unit of a given type represents 1 entry in that force organization chart.
One tactical squad of 5 space marines represents one troop choice, another with 10 space marines is one troop choice as well, just look at the size and points costs as outlined in your index/codex.

Nvm I think I got it, it depends on the unit? 1 troop of Warriors would be 10-20 or basically what it says in the codex for each unit

You need a cryptek and that vehicle that lets you reroll failed reanimation rolls. Dont know what vehicle that is. The cryptek gives +1 to reanimate, which gives you a 50% chance of suceeding, and that vehicle lets you reroll that, if you fail. Bubble wrap your cryptek with your necron warriors, to protect him from attacks, and get plenty of them. The more the better. Dont go with a 5 model unit. If the unit is wiped out you cannot reanimate. Its much harder to wipe out a 10 model unit than a 5 model unit.

I've always loved the look of wraiths and find my opponents always nervous when they see them across the table, they're really survivable also so good for tarpitting your opponents strong units.
