Throw it in the freezer for a while?
[As pointed out, don't do this]

I avoid spilling it in the first place at all costs.
If it does spill your options are either wipe it away immediately, like IMMEDIATELY, before it melts in to the plastic which only takes a couple of seconds; or wait until it completely cures (a day or two) and then clean it up by sanding it away and resculpting the area.
Trying to clean it up after it's started to melt the plastic but before it's dried solid will just create more mess.
What does a freezer do to plastic glue? I know it makes superglue go brittle, didn't think it did anything to plastic glue.

i was trying to both glue and fill at the same time by melting some plastic shavings then sticking it in the gap and pressing together, not doing that again or if i do i'm using alot less. I ended up sanding it when it seemed to have stopped melting so i've probably made it worse oops.

Clean it up with a hobby knife and a little putty, if needed. Once it is painted, you will never know your fellow had himself a 'little accident...'

There is a brush tip for a Dremel that might clean it up. Be gentle.

Clean it with mold line scrapper. And at the same tame take care of those other mold lines as well.

It seems to have not been as bad as I thought, I think I removed the melting bit before it penetrated past the surface of the plastic so it was quite superficial. Are those mold line scrapers worth the pennies then or can it be done just as well with a scalpal?

every cloud has a silver lining mate! - that's not an unfortunate glue accident, that's a mass of scar tissue, or chaos corruption, or something!...it's on the model's skin, just paint it up as normal, then paint the messed-up part pink/purple/etc, it'll probably look great

It can be done with a scalpel as well, though I personally prefer mold line scrapper, since I tend to accidentally cut into model while scraping something with a sharp knife

I use a cheap toothbrush to clear it a little, and then consider using gardening shears to scrape it off.

Gardening Shears? Do you not have a craft knife or even a pair of scissors?

My scissors barely cut paper, and the one craft knife I ever bothered getting was a tad on the useless side. These shears are the bees knees, though! I can cut things off sprues, add battle damage, cut things open for conversion, shave edges etc. Love 'em, and had them in use for years. Piccy:

Unfortunetly the only Garden shears I own are a bit rusty/dirty from being used as Garden shears.

garden sheers you crazy person. I would be more likely to cut off my finger than anything else with those. Yes it is easier to cut into things with a scalpal, especially if you have just put a new blade in. I ended up mixing up some green stuff to sculpt over the glue mistake, it took off a bit of his cloak, but the ball ended up being used on the plague drone rider gaps on his sides and of course while you are there you have got to make some boils and blisters or it is just rude. I will see what the cultist looks like after I have primed that spot i will be able to tell better.

But should it happend on my vehicles where i use normal glue, i just let it completely dry and scrape it off whit the tip of my dull knife.
