Haven't seen this anywhere - I may have missed it, idk. But, here is a recap of the changes for R&H with the Forces of the Astra Militarum FAQ.
Pros:
- New vehicles. We now have access to all of the Macharius variants, and the Medusas/Basilisks. Still doesn't justify such a tiny pool of choices for our vehicle selection. We have no orders, so why can't we at least have all of the vehicles that our loyalist counterpart has?
- Enforcer and Commander now have the character keyword. It's logical, and was utterly stupid not to have it in the first place. I'd say that Malefic Lords are still better, unless you want the Covenant, or are trying to keep some Rabble in line.
- Malefic Lord now has the "Chaos Covenant" keyword. I didn't realise he didn't, tbh.
Cons:
- Still doesn't fix how terrible R&H are, compared to AM. Which is, I suppose, a con. I was hoping they'd give us some versions of orders, and access to most, if not all, vehicles. Even from a financial standpoint, it makes more sense to encourage players to buy a larger and wider range of vehicles for their army - particularly with the price of FW vehicles.
It looks like I'll still be using Marauders for cheap plasma, and Malefic Lords for cheap HQ tax, mixed in with my Heretic Astartes and Daemon lists. I don't see how a full R&H list can hope to function effectively, without simply running them as AM.
