I am currently working on the my daemon list. I have a question, is it worth bothering to add a beast of nurgle for 38 pts or just leave it as daemon reserves? I don't own a beast yet but have the rest of this army.




As you can see.. putting the beast in the army may be an issue with giving up first blood fairly easily.

i would keep points for reserves, no reason to put a single beast

Why take plague toads over plague drones?
The cost is about the same, but drones are faster, have more attacks, have a greater chance of wounding (STR 4 poisoned is better than STR 5), and have an assault gun.
Why bring toads instead?

You can drop the icon from the plaguebearers. It's not worth it's points ... at all ... I've ran plaguebearers in over a dozen games now and the banner has proc'ed only a few times.
Totally not worth it.

That may give you enough points for 7 plague marines. 7 is Nurgle's magic number....

1 Champion + 1 Blight launcher + 5 normal plague marines.

I have to toads because I happen to own 6 toads. I don't own the regular plague drones yet. I would have to buy a box of them, unless your talking about foetid plague drones. In which I own 3 of at the moment.

So, I kind of need to figure out what my army really is missing and what is nice to have. Though, obviously this weekend I will be probably using the above list until I can figure out what is missing.

Not sure if summoning during a tournament is viable. But figured, I would try.

So, overall. Using Nova Missions.

Game 1: Vs Yanari. I got distracted by punched targets and forgot the objectives. End result I lost that game 0-19.
Game 2: Vs Salamanders. Played Objectives and still pushed my opponent in melee. Won game 19-2.
Game 3: Vs Dark Eldar in Barges. Rough game, Had to cross length wise on a 6" table vs the Barges. Held my Eternal war objective and in last action stole my opponents Eternal War Objective. Lost game 9-10.

So, my final for the day was 28 points. This put me pretty far down the list because competition was pretty even for the entire day. That first game plus the fact my nurgle army is only barely table painted really hurt my standings. Need to take some time to paint this army fully before putting them onto the table again in competition.

Painting was worth 0 to 19 points. Only 2 of the 8 players got 19. Most got between 0 and 10.
