I screwed up.
I picked up el alamein box to try out FoW and my trouble began right at assembling. Being clumsy oaf i damaged a part, so without much thinking i glued the turret to the hull. Now i found out that turret facing actually matters, so now i am quite crestfallen that i havent even finished assembling the minis and.my stuff is already illegal. Anyone got insight on this matter? Is my mistake common or am i just plain slowed?

While turret facing does matter, it's frequently *not* something that actually comes up in a game. Most of the time, you'll just rotate the hull instead of the turret anyway. I'd recommend just using the figure, explaining the issue to any opponents, and improvising a method of marking the turret orientation in those instances where it comes up.

Thanks for the answer. Neckbeards tend to pay way too much attention to such details, so i was worried that nobody will play with me, lol

It is less of an issue in V4 now that you get a free 90deg hull rotation during the shooting phase, but there are still situations where it makes a huge difference in the lethality and vulnerability of tanks on the table.

Since you mentioned El Alamein, anyone who plays Crusaders or Honeys, where they tend to charge forward to get side shots, is going to pay very close attention to your turret facing.

Get some matchsticks, when your tank shoots, drop a matchstick to show which way the barrel is pointing, problem solved.

Have come across a few who have done this, or are using models from systems where it doesn't matter so have some lovely camo netting they have modelled on.

Long as its clear which way the hull and gun are pointing the actual model matters less
