So this is my Warhammer 30,000 Horus Heresy Mechanicum army. I somewhat feel in love with the dark mechanicum color scheme of black and yellow and so went with that. Cue rolling eyes - I know the mechanicum would not allow their robots to rust so heavily but this is dark mechanicum - and my warlord is Scoria - and technically he... she... (at this point when they are that mechanical does it matter) was the first invented of the hellforge so I wanted to indicate that level of corruption on the bodies.

The knight was my own personal invention. I wanted the knight to look old and... well... have an actual sword. Cue me making a knight with no armour plates, skulls in the greaves, a huge freakin chain sword and magnetized weapons in order for me to swap out and have some options. The sword was made out of two knight chain swords cobbled together, some bits to make the handle, and the hilt was made out of a pencil wrapped in pink bridal shower tassels... cause hell it works

Edit: oh yeah that's a dwarf shield there instead of the normal knight one. It's somewhat of an inside joke because I own about 15,000 points of dwarfs.

So without further ado I present to you my Dark Mechanicum

Archmagos Scoria

Magos Dominus

Urasax Cohort

Thallax Cohort

Castellax with Multi Melta and Power Blades

Castellax with Mauler Bolt Cannon

Vorax Battle Cohort

Thanatars

That's some fine rust there! The Knight, especially, looks great. Props on the sword hilt - never would have guessed the source!

The knight looks Awesome. Looks like you put alot of work in it, and the result both gruesome and impressive.

Absolutely gorgeous, I'm a big fan or the AdMech and the Iron Warriors, and I think your army reminds me much of both due to the colours and atmosphere. The 30k AdMech is so much grimmer-looking than 40k, too bad they're so expensive and not fit for 40k rules-wise.

My respects good sir, your army is awesome !

The hope/rumor that is heavily floating around is that FW, with their new iteration of their imperial armour fires of cyraxus, will bridge that gap between 30k and 40k. Their are pictures of thanatars and castellax fighting tau - so if they do it freaking awesome! If not the guys usually let me proxy my castellax for Kastellans and thanatars for Onagers
