For the first time im blank. i have 0 idea how to base my AoS nighthaunts.
I have added a little bit of black whit a heavy brown wash at the bottom of the model so it has to be a colour variation on the base that goes well whit that.
The rest of the model is standard ghost green.
so pictures from blogs, torturials, comission studios, dakka users, anything that can trigger my imagination is helpfull cuz im bone dry in that department and has been for 2 weeks now......
(allso i have a converted black coach im working on that is going to be on a mortise engine size base and i allso have 0 ideas on how to fill out that big base......)

Maybe do some tombstones? A few simple squares painted bright grey with something written on them should do the trick. If that seems too vanilla for you mayve you could make it look like all the vegetation they pass over dies.

I don't know much on the AoS lore side, but I usually try to consider the backstory and incorporate that somehow. Looks like you could have a field day converting these guys but if you are solely looking at the base, maybe you could stick to the standard death & decay look with a dead bannerman that's literally been scared to death kind of like that movie "the ring". at that point you could choose his uniform as your color variation.
On the flip side, you could go with a pumpkin patch to get a nice orange to contrast the green. Even if they looked a little decayed, a brownish orange would look really nice.

Well you could go whole hog with the undead theme - bones and skulls, more skulls, more bones... repeat. Pretty easy to get a hold of a lot of those bits, either taking apart some lonely skeletons, just buying bits, or something like the sack of skulls from Secret Weapon or some other shop.
Add in some grave stones here and there - maybe they could be standing on a flat one, or near a tomb opening. Pretty easy to just make those out of plasticard or other materials if you don't have any to hand.
You could go snowy, graveyard in winter, or just snowy. Give it a bit of a lonely chilly feel.
Autumn is good as well, as mentioned, pumpkins, fallen leaves (use old dry tea leaves etc) maybe a few dead trees - can add some hanging ropes, candles or what not.
I have a swampy theme to a good bit of my undead types (mostly because that's also how I'm basing my skaven, and the board is a swamp board). But the colour contrast can look good and you can so fun stuff with trees, vines hanging down - overgrown ruins.
If you want inspiration, I would start googling some images of graveyards and such - or whatever main 'item'/theme you pick. It helps a lot.

Pumpkin detail was a nice idea, a spot of orange would do nicely.

link?
i have looked under scenery and bases but i cant find anything like that.
have desided that my bases will be very dark soil whit patches of light brown or red pigment whit a tust of dry grass.
then sprinkle them whit this kit that i will order https://www.antenocitisworkshop.com/basecrafts-autumn-basing-kit/a-1937/ aswell as these pumpkins http://anvilindustry.co.uk/image/cache/data/a-new/heads_crests/pumpkin-sprue-800x800.jpg
not shure about my big base yet, i feel that toombstones is a bit too cliche.

ok, so i got some basing materials in my mail and i tryed it out. i droped the weathing powder as it dident woek out for me.
Thing is, idk how to approach it as i have never made an autumn inspired base before. All i could think of was this, but idk if i went overkill on it, or should infact cover the whole base whit dead leaves or add more grass....
i just dont know and personaly i both like it and hate it. the texture is 100% perfect as is the colour but it shortens on the flocking. i have about 10 pots of autumn inspired flocking but no idea how to use it....
